Wimax data cards

May 26th, 2008

You must be wondering that even the large antena based wimax connections are not working properly as they should in Bangalore and Pune and a few other places where Reliance and Tata have rolled out their wimax services then where does this wimax data card come from? and would it even connect given the fact that this technology is still not very reliable.

Well Nokia will be launching their first ever wimax enabled phone in a few months time and another company is in the process of developing a wimax data card which will give you broadband speeds on the go and you wont have to wait for pages to load for ages as you do with wll and cdma data cards available in India right now. These wimax data cards will be used with laptops in the same way you use a reliance data card, airtel data card or a Bsnl data card.

January 22nd, 2008

Wireless broadband is in India finally with speeds up to 2.4mbps provided by Bsnl EVDO data card which are presently only available at a few locations like UP and Himachal pradesh besides some other places I dont know of. Bsnl broadband has covered almost the entire nation with its adsl broadband connections but there are still large areas where there is no telephone connectivity and thats where this evdo data card broadband will come in handy. Bsnl is charging Rs250 a month for now but they will increase the price when they officially announce the availability of EVDO data cards.

Reliance

January 21st, 2008

Reliance data card is one of the most reliable wireless internet connection in India as far as I have experienced. I normally get speeds between 10-14kB/sec which is not bad at a price of Rs650 a month with a 1GB usage limit as I only use it when my sify broadband connection is down or I have to go out of town for business. I have used a lot of other data cards previously like airtel data card, tata indicom, hutch but I find reliance data card to be the best one amongst all due to the wide coverage and good speeds besides reliability and the fact that they gave me this data card free of cost when I paid a years rental in advance.

Internet has made our life easier

January 21st, 2008

Internet has made our life easier, although there are still controversies about the use and over-use of the Internet. There are certain opinions that students and young people in general tend to concentrate way too much on using the computer and the World Wide Web. On the other hand, there are those that say that we shouldn’t not stand in the face of evolution and let technology do its part. The truth stands somewhere in the middle but when we think of the immense learning opportunities the Internet has imparted how cannot agree with the second affirmation? Tutors, schools and universities – all have started to implement online teaching software and its different features provided! This is because not all students are interested or have the possibility to attend classes on a regular basis. Online teaching gives a wide range of applications virtual teaching & tutoring, various courses, online seminars and many more.New technologies especially wireless internet has made lives so much easier, now I can be sitting in my car in the middle of no where and still be connected to the world using my wireless data card .. isint it amazing?
